‘Inner Vision’ explores perception, change and self-reflection. Its fragmented circular form echoes the iris and pupil, drawing the viewer into a quiet focal point. Inspired by Fukinsei, the Zen concept of balance through irregularity, the piece embraces asymmetry and subtle imperfection as a source of harmony. Press-moulded origami patterns are subtly distorted to suggest movement. Copper leaf catches shifting light, while ultra-matt Stuart Semple Black creates depth and contrast. Celebrating the evolving nature of craft, Inner Vision embraces change and unpredictability, showing that beauty lies not in perfection, but in the process of becoming.
The frame is custom made and hand-painted to resemble raw plaster, edged with oak.
