Based on ammonites, spiral origami folds, nature's spirals and Fibonacci spirals. I love making curves out of straight lines, and that multiples are more than the sum of the parts. Almost 100 gradually lengthening individual origami folded porcelain pieces. A labour of love.
Each piece of porcelain is individually press-moulded onto plaster moulds of origami-folded fabric, this creates the ripple on each edge.
The mount and oak frame is custom made and hand-painted. Framed and ready to hang 46 x 46cm
