During York Open Studios I visited Kate’s home to view her ceramic artwork. Kate was very friendly, knowledgeable and showed great passion and enthusiasm for her work. There were some truly incredible, contemporary pieces, full of colour, light and shadow.

What attracted me to Oblique was its simplicity, the contrast between the orthodoxy of the triangular/rhomboidal geometry and the torn, ragged edges, and the variety of shadows cast by the raised porcelain, according to the changes in the natural light from the windows and the artificial sources within the room."
