Komorebi Dream

SOLD

A symbiosis of trees and sunlight.
'Komorebi' is a Japanese term that roughly translates as "the scattered  light that filters through when sunlight shines through trees".

English oak combines with porcelain to capture  sunlight streaming through the trees.
Origami meets porcelain. Each piece is press-moulded onto plaster moulds of origami-folded fabric to create the rippled edge and then glazed with celadon green.
Ripples of oak echo the movement in the porcelain.

The background and frame is custom made. Hand-painted in Farrow & Ball Hague Blue and all edged with oak.
Framed and ready to hang 42 x 42 cm
