A deep cleft, a yawning fissure, the abyss.
​Made from differing lengths of creamy porcelain/origami with an onyx porcelain sponged shadow. Drawing the observer into the ultimate dark is Stuart Semple Black 3.0, the blackest and mattest acrylic paint on the planet. So dark, that light appears to fall into the centre.

Original and powerful, origami meets porcelain, individually press-moulded onto plaster moulds of origami-folded fabric. This creates the rippled edge.

The frame is custom made and hand-painted in the colour of plaster, edged with oak.
