News of a dynamic new art venture in York!

There is exciting news for the York art scene with the development of a dynamic new art venture in York - Granary Art House; a converted granary warehouse in the Groves, York. Selected from over 100 entries, GAH were one of 15 winners of the York Restart Award created by @firstbusyork, as a boost for local business.

Until recently, the site was offering short-let accommodation, however it is in the process of being redeveloped into a multi-functional arts venue. Visitors will be able to sit, sleep and live amongst immersive art installations by York artists- creating an alternative way to experience art in the city.

In conjunction with the building work, GAH are also introducing a podcast series 'Granary Art House Presents' - which will follow the projects of this art venue in York. The series starts off introducing listeners to artists of York and their practice. These interviews will form part of their York Artist Directory project in which they aim to demystify the working life of the artist.

Having seen my work at York Open Studios GAH signed me up and I enjoyed a lovely discussion with GAH whilst working with my porcelain at the Creative Studio in Stockton-on-the-Forest. My episode will be the very first Podcast.
