After waiting 15 months, York Open Studios is on the doorstep - it's been a long time coming but it's now finally here! And I, for one, can't wait to open up and let visitors in.
All the venues will be following COVID protocol: wearing masks, track and trace, hand sanitisers, one way systems, separate entry and exit points etc, and visitors may be asked to wait a few minutes to allow those inside to leave the venue to ensure social distancing is followed. But after waiting 15 months, what's a few minutes more to ensure everyone stays safe?! I've been hard at work creating new pieces specially for York Open Studios, all with my trademark melding of porcelain and origami. Plus, I've developed a range of hand made cards using fold and pleat patterns - each one is a little work of art. With wall art, sculpture and origami vase sleeves I hope people find something they like and want to take home with them. I really hope to see you, I'm at Venue 29, with more great art near me at Venues 20, 22, 27, 28, 30 and 36.
